February Faves

So, I finally moved!
Still trying to get everything together, and figure everything out. Moving is extremely tiring and kind of complicated, but also this really fun and new experience. But glad to finally be mostly settled, and getting used to the area I live in.

I desperately need to blog, so I chose the easiest topic out there. February Favorites.
Not too many favorites this month, been trying to keep it simple lately...
First up is the perfume I am absolutely obsessed with! It is Nirvana White by Elizabeth and James. The company is actually owned by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, and the perfume comes in a White version as well as Black. The White is more feminine and soft, while the Black version has more of a masculine, spicy, wooden finish. Great packaging and scent meant I just had to buy it!

Then for random unneeded purchase of the month...my rabbit fur pom pom keychain wins hands down. I love this thing for two reasons...it's black and fluffy! Soooo soft and I tend to just sit around petting it when I'm bored :)
A major favorite this month is H&M in general. I've been loving their collections lately, and am so excited they brought on a new New Icons collection this year. The looks are always so effortlessly stylish and just so model-like. So needless to say, I've been in there waaaaay too much. This month I ended up getting a lot of  their jewelry. I love to catch it on sale with additional 50% off, which is how I usually get my rings for about 50 cents or less, and bracelets for only one dollar, but this time I fell in love with a bunch of their full priced jewelry.

Besides the fabulous H&M, I've sadly been in Starbucks way too much as well. Beginning of February I picked up a pack of their mints and must say they are tiny, but pack a huge punch! Whenever I want to feel as if I'm breathing in the entire world at once, I pop one and enjoy the ride.
Next up is my new baby! I picked this up beginning of February also and it has become a definite go to purse. This is the Michael Kors Selma handbag in black patent leather (not sure if the color has a name of its own). It's a pretty basic bag, but comes in a nice structured shape and just adds a bit of class to any outfit. This and my Alexander Wang I plan to be my bags of 2014.
And since I just moved...home stuff!
I'm in love with candles. They have to be the single greatest invention in the world. And Marshalls has them for great prices! I picked these two out because of the mature and classic packaging as well as their warm and cozy scents. Great for the end of winter.

Mason Jars. Need I say more? They're simply amazing, from holding mini candles to making tea.
Complete love.
Lastly want to include some favorite music. Of course my number one fave is 2NE1 and their new album Crush. It really shows a more mature 2NE1, including more ballads and really moving vocals. My fave songs would have to be Gotta Be You as the best up beat song and then Come Back Home, Good To You, and Baby I Miss You as the best ballad and softer titles. But they're seriously all great and worth the money.

Another album I really like is Sun Mi's Full Moon and Stellar's song Marionette.

Well that's it for February, and on to collecting stuff for March. Hoping that perhaps one of my March favorites will be a furry friend?

♦Mini Haul♦

Grrrrrr it's been too long again.
A lot has been going on lately, and getting ready for a lot of changes.
One of the biggest is that I got promoted at work, and so I've been working a lot and am exhausted a lot more. But for this weekend I at least have a 3 day weekend :)

So Wednesday and Thursday I happened to go into Victoria's Secret's Semi Anual sale (which I originally had no interest in). I was surprised to find that a large selection of their lotions and fragrances were on sale...and so I went a little overboard...
These are the three perfumes that I settled on. They are Pure Seduction (left), Live Pink Pressed Petals (middle), and Dream Angels Divine (right)

Although I like all three, Divine is by far my favorite, and I may end up returning pressed petals. It has a hint of tangerine that I can't decide if I completely like. But in general they're pretty great...and they were 75% off!!!
Close up of Dream Angels Divine and the matching lotion! I absolutely loooove sniffing the lotion, it has the same scent of the perfume but with a more light powder fresh scent *love*
And since this post has a lot about fragrances...might as well add in the one I got from Zara two weeks ago.
I was really surprised to find that their scents are affordable. For a medium size bottle it's only $15. This is a small bottle of Zara's Rose which was $10. Not bad right? I love this rosy flower scent which is very mature and alluring, and the size is perfect for fitting in my purse.

Then lastly for my mini haul...foundation!
To be honest I just about hate drugstore foundation. My skin tone is kind of weird and it is nearly impossible to find a shade that matches my skin somewhat decently. In the past I either had to settle on a shade too brown or orange for my skin, or one that was too pale. Then I found Chanel's Perfect Lumiere in Beige 60! This is by far my favorite foundation, but of course being from Chanel it is a bit pricey, at $45 a bottle, $60 for the cream version, and another $45 for the powder.

Needless to say I didn't feel like dropping anywhere near that amount and so I decided to give the drugstore another go. And literally 45-60 minutes later of me trying a gazillion different products... I found one! Actually two :)
And to my surprise they're from Loreal (usually I try to stick to Revlon only).
The first is the True Match foundation and the other is the new Magic Nude Liquid Powder.
For both I bought the color "Sun beige" which sounds way too light for me but it has the proper yellow undertones my skin needs. That way I don't end up looking like a ghost or an oompa loompa.

For the True Match foundation, I like that it is pretty thick and provides medium to full coverage. For the Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation...it is kind of weird but awesome! It is extremely liquid-y  and runs a lot when you put it on your fingers. On the bottle it actually suggest to only apply with your hands/fingers because of the consistency. But when you put it on your face and rub it in becomes dryer and eventually dries like a powder. But even better is that it doesn't have that pasty powder finish, but makes the skin dewy and gives you a nice glow! The only downside (for me) is that it is a light to medium coverage, but is great for people who only need that amount. I have a lot of acne scars and so must conceal, conceal, conceal.
So my perfect combo is the True Match and then Magic Nude to perfect!

Hope this post was mildly entertaining, and I shall post again soon!
Maybe a current faves post? And that ebay post?

Love and perfume,
