Green Eyed Monster

Peek-a-boo!!!
Today's post is super exciting for me since it is about my first pair of circle lenses...
*excitement*
A while ago while I was perusing some awesome blogs, someone had a link to a website called eyecandys. So I decided to try it out!
***
For my first pair, I decided to go with green. The website is quite awesome as you can search for lenses by color, size, or length of wear.
So all I did after that was add the lenses to my cart and check out! The shipping is free so it's even more awesome! After about 3-4 days of processing (aka torture) they mailed it off and it arrived about a week and a half later. Not too bad when shipping can take 10-20 days according to their website.

And now for the pictures ***yay***
How it came in the package ~walaaaah~
Details on the lenses: Geo Angel Green
Diameter is 14.2, Base Curve of 8.6
*mission impossible: 5 level bottles...so hard to open!*
Uber close up of the lens. Outside of the eye it's super green in color, but on it is much more natural.
Looks pretty psychedelic eh *totes groovy*

And what they look like on...
Before/without on the left, and after/with on the right.
My camera kind of sucks so it's hard to tell, but my eye is just a tad bit bigger looking, but the most change is the color of my eye. To be honest I have giant eyes anyway and didn't really want to make them seem much bigger, so I'm glad it is a bit more subtle or natural looking. But you can also definitely tell a difference so I'm quite happy.

Final thoughts/opinion/review/whatever:
Color: 5/5 -It is a nice deep green color while looking quite natural, but still enhancing the eye.
Enlargement: 5/5 -Since I have big eyes I don't have much to say/compare to but they do even make my eye look bigger so two thumbs up^^
Comfort: 4/5 -At first they are just a bit hard to adjust to. My eyes get blurry every so often around the edges and so it's a bit uncomfortable. But other than that they don't feel thick on the eye. Also, they actually get more comfortable and unnoticeable the longer you wear them!
Price/Value: 5/5 -Granted these are my first pair of lenses, again I can not really compare them to others. But for the price of about $25 a pair (which lasts up to a year if taken care of properly), I think that it was a great buy. I'm really glad I tried these and want to definitely try more colors!

Ta-Ta for now!

Sierra Anastasia

Spring Items Haul

Hi Hi :)

Gonna try to make this as quick as possible since there seem to be quite a few pictures...
hope you enjoy!

First up is my package from ebay:
Plastic bags that the stuff came in. I ordered 4 items from the same seller.
Same skirt in light green and pink color options. While I love the colors, the skirt doesn't look so nice on. Instead of looking flirty and pleated, when worn it stretches out and is just straight across. But they were only about $10 each so can't really complain too much. Just wish they were nicer on :(
This is the 100cm long maxi skirt. This is by far my favorite from what I ordered. I love the color, which is called "milk tea" as well as the length. The only downfalls are that they black band is super tight (can be a bit uncomfortable) and that the slip/lining underneath is super static-y and clingy! I had to use some de-static spray to be set free from the thing lol. But again, it was only like $13 so ya...
This was the last thing I ordered. A pretty long sleeve lace dress. My photo on the right was clearly bum looking so I just stole the promo pic from ebay (shame on me). The promo pic shows a lot better what it looks like on. It's quite pretty and comfortable...the only downfall is that the slip underneath is super short! It barely covers my bum. So I'll be forced to buy shorts or figure something out in order to wear it. That being said, it was also pretty cheap...just around $25.

Next up is stuff from forever 21.
To prepare for spring (even more lol) I stocked up on some accessories. The earrings on the left are super luxe rose gold  with gems. So over the top and gorge! To the right are some super cute and frilly/sheer ankle socks to wear with my heels. I think that frilly socks have become my obsession over the past 6 months.
Also under the earrings, you can see a bit of the plain white sweater I bought (full pic in previous post).
Next up is this lovely Victorian inspired blouse from Love 21. I tend to be drawn in by that line because of all of the feminine, flowy, and classic styles. Then on the right is one of my new faves.A blue knit sweater with lacey white stripes! Basically everything I adore in one sweater *pure love*

And then there was Ann Taylor.
Sorry for the weird angle...lighting can be so annoying sometimes. This is a mesh and pink pearl buttoned sweater/cardigan. It was originally $78 and I scored it for $19.88!!!
Then I scored this super cute sweater I've been stalking that was originally $98 again for $19.88!!! I was soooo excited. It's a pretty simple 3/4 sleeve sweater in confection green (light/pastel green) decorated with clear and white crystals along the collar. Love it!

Lastly, I received a gift card to H&M and so had to go in and buys something! Luckily it coincided with their  end of season sale and so I found a really cheap item *go me*
Just a simple off white skirt with sheer scallop lace :)
You think I have enough lace for spring yet?

Well that's all for today. Not really in a good mood so just going to stick to the pictures.
So until next time,

Love and lace,

Sierra Anastasia

Sangria, My Love

So this may be a really random/longish post but whatevz!
As I mentioned in another post, I'm completely obsessed and consumed with spring.
I just love it!
Redid my blog too to include even more flowers and in your face pink-titude.
The goal was basically to have it look as if a garden threw up on your screen!
Would you call it a success?

Moving along though, this is just an update post and then my haul post will be up next.
Basically this is my food post!
So last week my mum took me to one of her new fave restaurants called Hank's Tavern.
I had super yummy chicken quesadillas (that I forgot to take a pic of I totes fail) and a mango margarita (also no pic). But for dessert I had oreo cake (of course there's a pic of that!).
After that night, I just had more work blah blah blah.
Then more fun when I went to my favorite restaurant everrrr with my cousin. We went to La Tasca's happy hour and dare I say we left elated!
From the pics you can probably tell it's a tapas bar. Tapas can be pretty expensive but this place has tapas during happy hour for around $4-$5 a plate! And they give you loads of food. I have never been able to eat more than two plates. But enough of going on an on about them (my friends always say it's as if I work for them lol...I like to get them addicted to it).

***The left pic is of sangria (duh, but don't remember which flavors I think cava and tinta and the right are las gambas (shrimp), pan con salmon (bread with smoked salmon), and las berenjenas (eggplant with creamy cheese sauce)***
After that we dipped into our fave Cupcake shop downtown called Crumbs Bake Shop!
They make so many different types of cupcakes, which all seem to be uber sweet and pretty. This time I decided on my favorite flavor from them, the Blueberry Cream Cheese.
*yuuuuum*

On Friday, I went to my old University's fashion show. While I was kind of disappointed in the show, I was really happy to meet up with friends I hadn't seen in a while! And after the show we decided to go to the club...was like being in school again! Especially since I was stuck in the city after that and ended up crashing at my friends the next two nights. Sleep over!!!
^^^Donuts she bought us for breakfast^^^

Between giggles we decided to go to *shock and amazement* La Tasca! I told you I love that place!!! So more eggplant (las berenjenas) for me *spirit fingers* Then us geniuses decided to order a full pitcher of sangria and to be honest, I didn't think I'd be able to walk for three days lol. But we banded together, and with teamwork totally vanquished the pitcher!
***Happy Hour Menu, Empanadas and Gambas, Croquetas and Berenjenas***
***Empty glasses of sangria...we had like four each!***

After heading home Sunday, my weekend was over but not all fun was lost.
My package from ebay arrived *yaaaay* So guess what's up next!

Loving food forever,

Sierra Anastasia

Music of the Moment (2)

Hi hiiiiii!!!
Just going to do a quick post before I delve into my more "effort inducing" ones that I've been avoiding...
But in my defense I've also been pretty busy (which is also quite surprising).
This past week I've been on the go almost non stop and I love it!!!
But more on that later, here are my fave songs/vids for now.
My loves are back!!!
This song is classic awesome U-Kiss with their awesome voices, cool dance moves, and hot facial expressions <3
So I'm an avid YG fan (go YG Fam!) and love their new artist, Lee Hi.
Her mini album just came out and while I like the feature title (It's Over), I found this song to be sooo uber cool. It's totally relaxing and her vocals show depth and maturity (as usual though).
On to my pure Kpop guilty pleasures. Lately I've started to really get into this newish group called Girl's Day. I love their song Don't Forget Me. So when their new song debuted I had to check it out and let me just say...it is ADDICTING!!!
I love the mature style and feel of the song as well as the sheer bad-assery and the cool makeup.
Unfortunately it makes me want to shop though :(
*side note* While I love Japanese fashion I get influenced by Korean fashion too cuz it's just so cool and simple sometimes *end random side note*
Last one! Otherwise I'll be adding endless songs here.
Another cool and powerful "go women" type song is from the group Rania. Some of the outfits are a bit meh in my opinion but overall love the song.
***

And if anyone didn't know or didn't catch the clues from these videos...I LOVE Kpop. Drink, eat, and breathe it. I've been listening to American pop too lately since a lot of it is really rocking.
But anyway, this is supposed to be a short post. I'll do updates/pictures/haul stuff soon so ya :)

Also, I love music from all over so if you have any recomendations/おすすめ please let me know!

Love and music,

Sierra Anastasia

My Weekend Adventure

Another post already?
Yaaay I'm starting to feel accomplished!
Today's post is about my awesome fantastical weekend :)
I got to hang out with a close cousin of mine (who I consider more like a sister) and we did lots of fun stuff.
In my last post I mentioned that we did Zumba Saturday morning and it was totes awesome. I got really tired  not even halfway through though and so didn't even do it 100% *not surprising*. I'm going to get into shape soon though! Then that night, we went to go see Oz the Great and Powerful.
*Pictures from Google*
I don't want to do a full review of the movie, but overall it was pretty good. The graphics and scenery were what really made the movie because of all of the breathtaking views and vibrant colors. The story line was pretty good, yet predictable (but it is a prequel/slight remake of a famous movie), and the acting was okay but nothing too special. In the end, it is a solid family film with plenty of laughs and gorgeous views of James Franco :)

Then Sunday, after a few errands, we went to Outback!
As you can see I'm super easy to please, any weekend becomes awesome with a touch of good food.
To put it plainly...we ate A LOT.
We had crab stuffed mushrooms for appetizer and then buffalo chicken strips for lunch :)
Aaaand, for the most important part! There's this new strawberry shortcake
french toast creation there that comes complete with cream cheese topping and whipped cream with shaved almond slices *goes wild*
To say the least...totes delish!

We also had Chipotle on Saturday but I forgot to take a photo :(
It was exciting too since I tried something new by adding pico de gallo and guacamole to my usual
boring rice/cheese/lettuce/sour cream burrito.
*living dangerously*

And now for the random/gross/scary pic of the week (drum roll please)
.
.
.
.
.
What thaaaa?!
Lol we found this joy in the back of her car near the trunk D:

Well that's all for now.
Although it's now Wednesday (*-*)...hope you all had a great weekend too!

Peace and love
(and sweet desserts),

Sierra Anastasia

Puppies in Cups

Soooo it's been a week :(
Again, nothing really happened this week besides me working, but I figure I'll make a post anyway so that I feel like I haven't been neglecting my blog.
Currently I'm just listening to Krewella's Alive. I quite love this song it's so rocking awesome and makes you want to jump around!

But anyway, here are a few pix I found on facebook that make me want to squeal!

Tiny puppies!!!! They are just sooooo adorbs!
I really want that one in the cup!
*screams*

Regaining composure, I also found this AMAZING bracelet that is of course sold out!
This is so absolutely upsetting, but I'm going to have to move on or maybe make my own version.
The bracelet is from Cecil McBee (Japanese fashion brand) and the pic is from their website.
I't just so pretty and dainty, and was only like 1,995 yen (about $21, $22?)!
Guess that's why it sold out.

Besides this, I made a pretty big order (well 4 items) on ebay...so there will be a post on that stuff soon.
Also went into Forever21 like a dummie and of course bought stuff (so disgusted with myself). But in my defense I own like the tiniest amount of clothes...like legit. Guess I'll do that post then but also will try to take pictures of my outfits...which I keep saying I'll do but I'm lazy :)

Ohhhh and exciting! I will be jogging this week. Getting myself re-addicted to exercise because I'm so fat now (another reason I haven't taken outfit pictures). I actually just got back Zumba class with my cousin. Honestly, I almost had a panic attack and died within 20 minutes! Guess I'm horribly out of shape *lol* About to get ready and go run errands with my cousin now and then we're gonna go see The Oz
 (or stare at James Franco)!

Oki done rambling.

Peace out with love!

Goodbye February

So it's officially been a week since my last post, and I feel really guilty.
I really wanted to do more, but alas there is nothing of interest going on in my life.
So here is an update on what I was up to the last week or so.

♥♥♥

First off, I went to the movies last Saturday with my mum. We saw the new Die Hard movie, and it was actually good. I think Bruce Willis should sit down and not strain anything since he's getting kind of old, but his son in the movie was dreeeeamy! His arm muscles were so big that's all me and my mum could focus on lol...guess we're kind of perverted?
Random pic of part of what I wore to the movies...I was pressed to wear my new shoes lol
To keep warm I styled them with white lacy frilly socks...
my current obsession!!!

♥♥♥

In other non exciting news, I am finally officially starting up my "diet" again. While I always claim to be on one...I don' always follow it and have gained weight :( So I'm super upset and must lose it again!

To help out, I've started drinking Japanese green tea again to help detox my body and lower my calorie intake.
Look good ya? Something about green tea just makes me smile inside lol

And then one night I just couldn't help my cravings and really wanted something sweet :3
But there was none in the house! So what was a girl to do in this dire situation?
Mix up some random ingredients...that's what!
Wala:
I call them Peanut butter Snicker doodle Cookies!
They were actually pretty good, and only tasted a tad bit too flour-y which isn't bad considering I didn't measure anything...like a pro!

♥♥♥

And of course, since all I seem to do is shop, I have a few things that I picked up from Forever 21.
Makeup remover wipes for lazy nights when I don't feel like washing off my face...which is apparently every night :) Also picked up my new favorite accessory! Just a pretty basic rose style key necklace, in rose gold on a long chain.
A few days after I found the wipes and necklace, I stopped by again and found these. I really hate working in a mall with stores sometimes...it's just too tempting for someone with as little will power as me!
But to be fair, I really did need a new white sweater, and I finally found one as long as I wanted (covers my bum). And then near the checkout I just happened to see the giant hair clip and couldn't say no...I mean who could?

♥♥♥

Besides that, I just had work and work and work, and then finally last night got to hang out with my friends. We went to a super busy/popular restaurant called Nacho Mamas. There, we all got super yummy quesadillas. Pic below :)
Look at all that cheesey goodness :3
This quesadilla came with delish crab meat, chicken, and enormous amount of cheese!

And, as if I need to take more pictures of food (have you seen my instagram? lol)...
My breakfast this morning :) So although it's technically March now, this totally counts cuz it's Friday.
This is the Annaheim Panini from Corner Bakery.
For drink, and to keep within my diet, I'm having a glass of hot water (extremely filling!).

So that's it for now,
Unfortunately or fortunately I have a lot of work next week and so it will probably be a while again till I post...not that anything exciting is happening xD

'Till next time,

Love,
Sierra Anastasia
