Reflecting on Life

Tonight, I get ready for a trip to NYC in the morning. I am excited to have a day off from work and to get out of town. It is amazing to think of all that has happened within the past year. Often I think about how beautiful life is, and how it changes within the blink of an eye. Everything I knew last year has drastically changed, and although I am proud of where I am today, I still reminisce in the past. A year later, a year stronger. But whenever I am uncertain, I love to look to the sky. To all the mystery within life and beyond...

Few New Things

 Summer's almost over but whatever!

Have a few "new" things I forgot/was too lazy to blog about. Hoping this will get me back into the swing of things!

So a couple of months ago I picked up these sandal booties from DSW. The brand is called Levity, which I've never heard of, but they're pretty awesome. Love the style, simplicity, and slight edge.
Close ups!

Also made my first Nasty Gal order a little while ago. I meant to do a review, but never got around to it. Short version: I like the website and styles, but not all of the brands/quality. It honestly reminds me of the fashion district in Downtown LA, but with the prices so-so. Some items are good to okay quality, while some were a bit disappointing. I think the tags sewn into the items really gives it away.

....

I'd rate it a C.
I ordered a tank, long sleeve top, and this faux leather jacket. While I liked the tops, they were a bit over priced and not worth mentioning. But the jacket I absolutely love!

Next up are some goodies from Target.
Found a nice sheer face powder from Sonia Kashuk. Honestly, it was the simple sleek packaging that lured me in. The powder itself is very fine and gives a nice smoothing effect. For around $10, would definitely recommend.
Also picked up this illuminating/glow powder. Again, the snake like pattern and contrast between the black and white got me! I swear I can't be trusted alone in a store. Not surprisingly, the powder is a weird gel-like consistency. I find it really hard to get enough of it on a brush to actually transfer to my face. Although I don't really notice any effect on my face, it was worth it just to own it...I guess.

And completely random...
WTF?
So I watched this over the weekend and still have no idea what the point/message/idea was behind this movie. It was semi entertaining, but was better once James Franco's character appeared...but then was still a ball of wtf. Did this movie make sense to anyone?

That scene with Britney Spears' "Everytime"... WHAT? Lol but now I'm addicted to that song so I guess you could say I was semi inspired by the film? Though Franco's last few scenes were...uplifting in an extremely weird kind of way? I honestly have no clue how I even feel about the whole thing.

But until next time,

Love,
