June Favorites

Yay time for June Favorites!

I've been loving anything I can pair with my white and black blazers!
First is a deep blue/purple asymmetric peplum top, then a laser cut black and white top (both from Ann Taylor) followed by a smokey gray top with jewels.
A little detail of the asymmetric peplum top...it looks so cool on! I own it in this blue/purple and off white as well.
The black knit sweater is from H&M and comes with awesome jewels on the shoulders (and a semi open back)...can you tell the theme yet?

The awesome baroque style skirt I nabbed from ebay for under $10!
It is super comfy and is all black on the back.
On the left is a gorgeous royal blue shirt dress from H&M. It's soooo comfy and stylish at the same time!
Then my next fave is the white wallet clutch from Francesca's Collections. It fits literally nothing but is great for when you only need the bare minimum or just to grab your wallet.

Then to the right are my new wedge heels from ebay...only $13.50 with free shipping!
Look at that wedge awesomeness!
On the left is a cross chiffon top from Francesca's Collections and on the right, a fitted floral dress from H&M. I love both because they're edgy and different.

Next up is jewelry.
Matching necklace and bracelet (far left) and white bracelet (upper right) from Ann Taylor. Gunmetal necklace (lower right) from Francesca's Collections.
I'm completely head over heels for statement jewelry with a bit of an edge.

And lastly...some accessories:
(Left) Cheetah bag from Laila Rowe and Prada inspired sunglasses from California (can be found on ebay).
(Right) Kate Moss lipstick from Rimmel London in color 109. Love the formula and color pay off. Gold bangle from Ann Taylor. Perhaps my favorite item all month! I literally never take it off and it is so cute and dainty and matches literally everything!

♦Mini Haul♦

Grrrrrr it's been too long again.
A lot has been going on lately, and getting ready for a lot of changes.
One of the biggest is that I got promoted at work, and so I've been working a lot and am exhausted a lot more. But for this weekend I at least have a 3 day weekend :)

So Wednesday and Thursday I happened to go into Victoria's Secret's Semi Anual sale (which I originally had no interest in). I was surprised to find that a large selection of their lotions and fragrances were on sale...and so I went a little overboard...
These are the three perfumes that I settled on. They are Pure Seduction (left), Live Pink Pressed Petals (middle), and Dream Angels Divine (right)

Although I like all three, Divine is by far my favorite, and I may end up returning pressed petals. It has a hint of tangerine that I can't decide if I completely like. But in general they're pretty great...and they were 75% off!!!
Close up of Dream Angels Divine and the matching lotion! I absolutely loooove sniffing the lotion, it has the same scent of the perfume but with a more light powder fresh scent *love*
And since this post has a lot about fragrances...might as well add in the one I got from Zara two weeks ago.
I was really surprised to find that their scents are affordable. For a medium size bottle it's only $15. This is a small bottle of Zara's Rose which was $10. Not bad right? I love this rosy flower scent which is very mature and alluring, and the size is perfect for fitting in my purse.

Then lastly for my mini haul...foundation!
To be honest I just about hate drugstore foundation. My skin tone is kind of weird and it is nearly impossible to find a shade that matches my skin somewhat decently. In the past I either had to settle on a shade too brown or orange for my skin, or one that was too pale. Then I found Chanel's Perfect Lumiere in Beige 60! This is by far my favorite foundation, but of course being from Chanel it is a bit pricey, at $45 a bottle, $60 for the cream version, and another $45 for the powder.

Needless to say I didn't feel like dropping anywhere near that amount and so I decided to give the drugstore another go. And literally 45-60 minutes later of me trying a gazillion different products... I found one! Actually two :)
And to my surprise they're from Loreal (usually I try to stick to Revlon only).
The first is the True Match foundation and the other is the new Magic Nude Liquid Powder.
For both I bought the color "Sun beige" which sounds way too light for me but it has the proper yellow undertones my skin needs. That way I don't end up looking like a ghost or an oompa loompa.

For the True Match foundation, I like that it is pretty thick and provides medium to full coverage. For the Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation...it is kind of weird but awesome! It is extremely liquid-y  and runs a lot when you put it on your fingers. On the bottle it actually suggest to only apply with your hands/fingers because of the consistency. But when you put it on your face and rub it in becomes dryer and eventually dries like a powder. But even better is that it doesn't have that pasty powder finish, but makes the skin dewy and gives you a nice glow! The only downside (for me) is that it is a light to medium coverage, but is great for people who only need that amount. I have a lot of acne scars and so must conceal, conceal, conceal.
So my perfect combo is the True Match and then Magic Nude to perfect!

Hope this post was mildly entertaining, and I shall post again soon!
Maybe a current faves post? And that ebay post?

Love and perfume,

Sierra Anastasia

My Week (End of May)

Here for a quick update on my past week.
Since I actually did stuff,
why not share?

To sum it up in one or two words, last week was "happy hour" week. That sounds bad, but I *only* went to happy hour twice...Tuesday and Thursday. But in my defense I didn't drink at either one! Just got some nice cheap foods :)

Tuesday, my friend and I went to Cheesecake factory for some food after work (sorry no pix), and then Thursday with my cousin I went to La Tasca (also no pix because you can find any of the millions of posts I do of La Tasca and view their delish food).

Theeeeen on Saturday, I was able to meet up with one of my high school buddies! So this is going to totally tell my age (although it's probably posted somewhere), but I graduated high school officially 5 years ago! How crazy is that?!

It makes me really sad to realize that I'm one year out of college, and 5 years out of high school. Life is going by too quickly! But anyway, back to the actual point lol.

I met up with a friend I haven't seen in like a year and a half! And it was so fun! We went downtown for a movie, some dinner, and some shopping!

As clearly seen from this movie stub, we saw the new film Now You See Me.
I had seen the commercials and thought it looked really good and it was! The graphics are amazing and soooo uber shiny (I have a thing with shiny things/films with all of those non existent cool technologies)! I think that anyone who likes action and mystery movies will really like it. And the surprise ending really came out of nowhere to me, although my friend claims she saw it coming (lies I'm sure).

After that, we went to a Thai Restaurant. I clearly fail as I do not remember the name of the place, but it was delish!

I had Curry egg noodle soup with chicken and veggies. Was super yum!
After that, I had some baked custard thing which was also pretty good.
Will definitely go back!

After eating we walked around and shopped a bit. At H&M, I picked up a skirt for only $15 full price, but I will not post a pic yet so that I am forced to take an outfit pic :)

As for other updates, last Friday I got my nails done again.
This time I went for a more edgy look:

Well that's all for now,

more posts soon!

Edgy Army

As promised,
another outfit post!

Although I'm proud I'm finally posting this, it also makes me feel a bit guilty. While I'm just getting around to posting it today, June 2nd, I took these photos on May 9th :x Almost a month later!
But better late than never???

So this outfit was inspired by the show Nikita (which I'm in love with). Well, the boots that inspired the rest of the outfit were inspired by Nikita...but anyway, I wanted a semi bad/ick ass outfit that day and this is what I came up with :)

The boots (since you can't really see them in the photos too well):

I got these a month or so ago from JC Penny (so surprising right) for only $10!

And for more pix of the outfit:

*Thick rimmed glasses are my real glasses ^_~*
Jewel accent button down: H&M
Faux Leather pleated skirt: Forever21
*Opaque Black Tights*
Strap & Buckle Black Boots: JCP

Hope you enjoyed another edgy outfit! I will as always try to make more outfit posts, especially with the stuff that I wear to work. I think it's also a great way for me to post new buys without just listing them.

Another post coming soon!

Love,

Sierra Anastasia
